“Revealed”

Blessings folk!

Daniel and his companions were in a mess.

They were under an execution decree.

Daniel had spoke with the king for time to determine the dream(s) and interpretation.

The king granted.

Daniel then tells his companions that they must seek the mercy of the God of heaven concerning this mystery.

They did.

God answered.
Dan 2:19
Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night.
Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
ESV
God revealed the mystery.
He revealed the dream, as we will see.
He revealed the interpretation, as we will see.
He did so through Daniel by a vision of the night.

A vision of the night?
Yes.
What is that?
Who knows exactly?
A vision visibly seen by an awake Daniel at night?
Perhaps.
A vision during sleep at night?
Perhaps.
It was a vision.
It was of/at night.

What was Daniel’s response?
Did he awaken his friends and tell them the good news?
Not yet.
He blessed the God of heaven.
The next verses are a song of praise and blessing to the Most High.

Do we do likewise?
Do we seek the mercy of the Lord?
Do we bless Him?
