“Fourth Man”

Blessings folk!

The three men were cast into the furnace.
They fell into the fire.
Fully clothed with highly flammable garments.

Neb had honored his word.
He had set an example.
No one would defy his command and instruction…not even his most valued workers.
Surely this would keep the people in line.
Surely this would abate the anger and fury of the king.

But, there is a God in heaven…

Dan 3:24-25
Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste.
He declared to his counselors,
“Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”

He answered and said,
“But I see four men unbound,
walking in the midst of the fire,
and they are not hurt;
and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”
ESV

The furnace was constructed in some manner by which the king could see inside.

Neb saw something.
Something that astonished him.
Astonished him to the point to where he arose in haste.
